In a series of live webcasts focusing on various regions, MEA Risk will debut its series with a retrospect and outlook on risk, security and stability in the Maghreb region of North Africa. The presentation will extend to the Sahel region. Upcoming events will deliver similar presentations on Nigeria, Egypt, Turkey, East Africa, Mozambique and other regions.
Analysts working from within North Africa and the United States will present their findings on how 2016 evolved and how 2017 is likely to shape up from a risk perspective for the countries of Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Mali, Niger, Mauritania and Chad.
The presentation will provide a review of the security environment, characterized by the active presence of insurgencies and a sharp rise in criminality. Analysts will share data and analysis on the risk factors in economy, social/human environment, domestic and regional politics, and all other key factors influencing risk and stability.
The presentation is free and is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 26th, 2017. Participants must register to receive the slides of the presentation the day before and will be able to call a local conference line to listen and participate with comments and questions. Furthermore, participants with Internet access should be able to view MEA Risk analysts screens during the presentation.
