At least twelve people were killed and 9 were injured after rockets hit a number of buildings and vehicles in the districts of Ard Zwawa  al-Slimani. The former was crowded when the attack occurred, and rockets narrowly missed an elementary school. It is believed that the rockets were fired from Islamist positions in Sabri. Locals believe that the assault was deliberately targeted.
