Sept 6, 2015: According to a source within the ministry of interior, Tunis is facing an imminent terrorist threat, and that traffic was banned in parts of the capital as a consequence, in a bid to prevent militants from detonating car bombs in strategic areas. Security was strongly stepped up, and the number of patrols and sweep operations conducted by the police and the army have been doubled.
