Two attacks within the same day have claimed the lives of at least 50 people in the highly restive Nigeria Borno State.  The attacks are said to be the work of Boko Haram.

Yesterday, two female suicide bombers committed a suicide attack on a fish market in Maiduguri killing some 22; although witnesses say they saw 50 bodies. While one of the killers failed to detonate her explosive, the other managed to get in the middle of a crowd, gather for prayer at a local mosque when she detonated the explosives.

Today, Boko Haram members stormed the town of Dabiro in the Borno state, killing 26 people and wounding 20. This is not the first attack against Dabiro since it has already been targeted twice for being the town of General Dabiro, the head of Multi-National Joint Task Force tasked to combat Boko Haram.
